Test Automation Engineer I

Location – Pune, India

Position Summary

Responsible for writing test scripts, executing them, and analyzing the results. Gaining exposure to complex tasks in software testing automation. Can effectively communicate with peers and has developed some latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities:
In addition to the above, primary tasks include:

• Creating automated tests covering critical use cases of software using integration/e2e tests.
• Documenting the use cases covered by automated tests.
• Prepare test environments.
• Staying current with the latest industry trends (Selenium, Puppeteer, Cypress, Playwright) and working with open-source and cloud technologies as needed.
• Collect comprehensive and relevant data for problem investigation
• Strive for excellence constantly to deliver quality product and test faster thought the process

Experience and Skills:

• General proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. May need to consult with senior staff on some technical issues.
• Understanding of common design patterns.
• Experience working with at least one moderately complex system.
• Ability to review, understand, and extend pre-existing automated tests with little guidance.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Selenium/React/ Python/ Playwright) and ability to prepare automated tests under the supervision of seniors.
• Ability to successfully follow and execute software testing automation processes.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in creating and maintaining Azure pipelines.
• Working knowledge of relational databases with the ability to write PL/T/SQL queries.

Education:

• B.E / M.E. / B.S. / M.S in any Engineering discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience.
