Job Description:

You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with purchasers of voluntary carbon credits across the United States. Your primary focus will be on cultivating relationships and facilitating their participation in our early decommissioning program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential purchasers of carbon credits through various channels, including industry databases, networking events, and referrals.
  • Initiate contact with purchasers to introduce our energy transition credits.
  • Develop and present tailored proposals outlining the financial and environmental benefits of participating in our program, addressing purchasers' concerns and objectives effectively.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with purchasers, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and financial arrangements.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with purchasers to ensure successful project implementation and maximize carbon credit sales opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market dynamics related to carbon credits and oil and gas production to inform business development strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, engineering, petroleum or related field.
  • Proven track record of sales or business development experience, preferably in the energy or environmental sector.
  • Strong understanding of the voluntary carbon credit industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulated carbon credit markets and environmental regulations is a plus.
  • Must be located in Austin, TX or willing to relocate.
