About the role:
We're seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Finance to join our Series A company at a pivotal growth stage. This role will directly shape our financial strategy and operations while partnering closely with our CEO and executive team. As the finance leader, you'll have the unique opportunity to build and scale our financial infrastructure during a period of rapid growth.
Reporting to our CEO, this position will help lead and manage all finance and accounting operations at the company. The Head of Finance will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support key business decisions and develop and track critical financial and operational metrics that guide company strategy in addition to managing the day to day accounting and operations of the business. The Head of Finance will also partner with other business units to build and implement scalable processes and capabilities as our business continues to grow and evolve over the coming years.
This position will profoundly impact the future of Getlabs as a whole at a defining moment in the company's evolution.
At Getlabs, you will:
- Lead and drive financial planning & analysis, including building and executing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cadences;
- Lead and own month end close processes, including financial statement preparation, billing/invoicing, payables, contracting accounts receivable, and similar items
- Identify and track relevant critical financial and operational metrics;
- Manage Getlab’s day-to-day relationships with external bookkeeping and Tax resources.
- Support Business Development and other business units on pricing, ROI, and new product development analyses
- Work closely with Analytics team to drive actionable business insights
- Own and drive the creation of new scalable business operations processes alongside other Getalbs team leaders, including Legal, payroll/employee success, invoicing, and other core operational groups.
- Support and enhance budgeting and forecasting processes. Play a key role in responding to investor and board requests.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in a B2B digital health startup or similar high-growth environment
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis and budget development
- Mastery of MS Excel/Google Sheets and excellent modeling and data manipulation skills
- Comfort and experience with various accounting software packages (Quickbooks Online is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and proficient at owning and driving month-end close processes in conjunction with external bookkeeping resources.
- Experience with multi-company consolidations and friendly PC structures;
- Ability to excel and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment;
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to take ownership of key functions and processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with claims based billing and related implementations is a plus.
- CPA or MBA is a plus.
