The People Team is building a humane work experience that prioritizes empathy, connection and wellbeing through every milestone in the employee experience. The team’s goal is to provide a special place in everyone’s career, define an industry, and encourage everyone to become a better person while doing it.
Loop’s People Business Partners are key thought partners and collaborators throughout the company, solving business needs through a people-first lens. As Loop scales, you will steward a culture of high standards with high empathy, support leadership through thoughtful organizational design, reduce friction, elevate talent density, and more, along with supporting your client groups with day-to-day challenges.
Right away, we’ve listed what we think you’ll be spending your time on. We’re growing fast, and growth means the challenges we’ll work on together will change as we lead Loop through new and different phases.
This is an indispensable role with us, so we’ll be looking for you to have examples of when you’ve tackled these challenges throughout your career. We’ve laid out the experience we think is important to set you up for success in this role. But, we appreciate that different humans will solve problems in different ways, so we don’t expect you to fit exactly in a box of requirements.
At Loop, we’re intentional about the way we work so that we can do our best work. We call this our Blended Working Environment. We work from our HQ in Columbus, OH, or one of our Hub or Secluded locations, and are distributed throughout the United States, select Canadian provinces, and the United Kingdom. For this position, we’re looking for someone who can join us at our HQ in Columbus, OH, where we work onsite two days a week, or in one of these hub cities: Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; or New York City, NY.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will be the dedicated People partner for our Go To Market and G&A teams. You will help leaders build healthy, high-performing environments where people feel supported and challenged. You will balance strategic partnership with hands-on execution, guiding long-term org decisions while staying close to the everyday moments that shape the Loop experience.
  • Partner with GTM and G&A leaders to support their goals: Help leaders understand how their business objectives translate into People needs and recommend actions that strengthen productivity, collaboration, and long term organizational health.
  • Support teams through growth and change: Guide leaders during business pivots, leadership transitions, and cultural shifts and help teams maintain clarity and momentum.
  • Shape a culture of high standards and high empathy: Coach managers on leading with candor, accountability, and care and reinforce expectations that create a healthy, high performing environment.
  • Lead core People programs across GTM and G&A: Run performance, compensation, promotion, calibration, and talent review cycles in a smooth, fair, and consistent way.
  • Improve and simplify People processes: Reduce friction by refining workflows, strengthening documentation, and partnering with People Ops to make our programs easier and more intuitive.
  • Guide organizational design and talent planning: Assess team structure, leveling, talent gaps, and succession needs, and provide thoughtful recommendations that help teams scale.
  • Strengthen leadership capability: Coach managers through difficult conversations, feedback, development, and decision-making in a way that builds trust and confidence.
  • Use AI and data to inform decisions: Leverage AI tools and people analytics to identify trends, advise leaders, and support productivity across teams.
  • Support global expansion and future organizational growth: Partner with leaders on international expansion and help prepare for future strategic growth.

Your Experience:

  • Experience as a People Business Partner: 5+ years supporting diverse client groups in a fast-changing environment, including experience with GTM leaders.
  • Strength in organizational design and talent planning: Comfort guiding leaders through org structure, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent gap analysis.
  • Experience leading core People cycles: Ownership of performance, compensation, promotion, and talent review processes.
  • Sound judgment in employee relations: Experience navigating sensitive or complex situations with fairness, empathy, and clarity.
  • Ability to raise talent density: Comfort identifying risks early and coaching leaders to take timely and appropriate action on performance.
  • Strong communication skills: You communicate with warmth, clarity, and candor and help leaders and team members feel understood even when topics are difficult.
  • Data and insight orientation: Experience using people data, feedback, and sentiment trends to inform recommendations and support decisions.
  • Curiosity and comfort with AI tools: You use AI to improve your work, increase speed and clarity, and help teams strengthen productivity.
  • Experience supporting teams through change: You have partnered with leaders during organizational changes and cultural transitions.
  • Interest or experience in global work: You have worked with global teams or are eager to learn.
