We are seeking a talented and passionate Sr. Data Engineering lead to join our team in Austin, TX. You will guide and support a team of data engineers, distributed across various BU's. You will work cross functionally with stakeholders to deliver solutions, acting as the accountable owner and SME for various data engineering projects, and ensure "delivery excellence" (speed, efficiency, quality, reliability, and observability). You will contribute to platform development and promote best practices. You will help defining and tracking improvements to design patters and data architecture and additional duties as required.

How you will make an impact

Lead a cross-functional team of Data Engineers distributed across different business units/functions
Leverage our operations squad to define, lead, and drive projects to improve the business
Work directly with product and stakeholders to gather requirements and come up with data solutions you will drive
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for the Data Engineering team
Serve as an SME and architectural authority within data engineering initiatives while ensuring the successful and timely delivery of high-quality, reliable data pipelines
Build and design solutions that align with the overall data platform and strategy, ensuring that the team adheres to and contributes to the core platform build
Demonstrate leadership by driving best practices, advocating for technical excellence, and promoting adherence to data engineering standards
Influence development and design with technical leadership/mentoring
Build robust pipelines with speed, efficiency and quality at the forefront of delivery
Define and measure continuous improvements to data patterns and designs
Perform additional duties as needed

What we are looking for

Proficiency in Python and SQL is a must
Possess 2 - 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Lead Engineer, specializing in the development of high-volume, high-quality data pipelines
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
Demonstrated skills in data modeling are highly desirable, spanning both application-oriented and analytical data domains
Familiarity and experience with cloud native technologies a plus
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data (EDI) is a bonus
Tech stack; Data Warehousing: Snowflake, Cloud Services: AWS, Version Control: GitHub, NoSQL Database: DocumentDB, BI: DOMO
