Who You Are
We are looking for a sales pioneer with a unique blend of sales skills, ambition, grit, and entrepreneurial spirit. You are a curious self-starter ready to elevate your career. Ideally you will have startup experience or are energized by working in an uncertain environment where the unknowns are unlimited.
About the Role
The Sales Director will manage the entire sales cycle: prospect new customers, formulate tailored value propositions, present convincing pitches, and close deals. To perform these duties, the Director will work closely with the CEO and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing and Operations.
Work with the CEO to build a portfolio of new clients and maintain long-term relationships with all levels of the company (from C-level executives to regulatory professionals)
Educate potential clients on the value proposition of our product
Actively listen to the customers talk about their pain points, report to product about their needs, while managing customer expectations with regard to the product roadmap
Understand and communicate key trends and/or needs in the industry to internal leadership as well as clients
Ensure success for new clients by onboarding them with a personalized level of support
Create new opportunities for Nyquist to reach different departments within enterprise companies
Work closely with marketing on digital strategy and assets, sales presentations and other supportive collateral
Work collaboratively with members of the engineering, design, operations, and marketing teams
Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, tech or related fields
4-6 years of experience as an Account Executive and at least 1 year of experience as a Sales Development Representative
Proven track record of developing and managing relationships with clients or business partners
Prior experience in an early stage company, start-up environment preferred
Existing network within the medical technology or pharmaceutical industry - strong nice to have
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with high level executives and professionals in other departments
Prior experience in life sciences, medical technology, pharmaceuticals and/or SaaS companies preferred
High level of comfort with learning new technologies and/or software
Ability to research, strategize based on data, and execute quickly
Local and overnight travel occasionally required
