JOB POSTING

Sr. Product Designer // R/AI Team

Join the design team shaping the future of AI-powered shopping experiences across our global software platforms.

About Us:

Our team is small, highly motivated, and focused on design excellence. Our organization is for individuals who appreciate challenging themselves and who thrive on curiosity and continuous development. We operate with a flat organizational structure. All employees are expected to be hands-on and to contribute directly to the company’s mission. Leadership is given to those who show initiative and consistently deliver excellence. Work ethic and strong prioritization skills are essential. All team members are expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across our organization and customer base.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to create intelligent shopping experiences for the purpose of delighting customers globally. Rebuy is a fully remote company and is trusted by some of the fastest-growing brands in DTC such as Aviator Nation, Liquid Death, Magic Spoon, Blenders, Laird Superfoods, Primal Kitchen and many more. We value ownership, self-motivation, and empathy. Each team member plays a significant role in the company and is helping to shape the future of intelligent commerce. We build strong and lasting partnerships with all of our merchants and partners, provide a safe and fun work environment, and truly love what we do.

This Role:

This is a Senior Product Designer role on our new R/AI Team reporting to the Head of Product. R/AI is a new software platform we’re creating in partnership with Google that will enable retailers to leverage the power of their data and the latest advancements in AI to power smart shopping experiences on any platform.

You will join other senior product designers as your peers and play a design leadership role in creating the admin designs and user experience flows for one of our newest and most exciting projects.

Quality and design excellence are top priorities, especially as we continue to expand our platforms. The Sr. Product Designer bridges the gap between user needs and business goals, leading the design process from user research to impactful product experiences. In short, the Sr. Product Designer will be responsible for translating user needs into delightful and intuitive interfaces, collaborating closely with engineers and product managers, and contributing to the overall success of our products.

What You'll Do:

  • Spearhead the end-to-end design process for a new product, collaborating closely with the assigned team to move the product from initial concept through to successful launch.
  • Collaborate with the product and design team to maintain styles, components, and patterns that enable your fellow product designers and front-end engineers to ship more effectively and efficiently.
  • Build upon existing foundational design systems and component libraries and establish best practices for contribution and implementation.
  • Participate in design review sessions to both solicit and provide feedback on designs, to drive high-quality design deliverables and consistency.
  • Communicate design concepts clearly and effectively through high-fidelity designs and prototypes to stakeholders.
  • Provide guidelines and documentation to educate designers and engineers on the application of the system.
  • Partner with product and engineering to drive the design system across our Product Development Lifecycle.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Marketing team to bring product designs to life in marketing materials and on our website.
  • Design with a user-centric approach, crafting high-quality solutions that are accessible, scalable, and intuitive with best-in-class user experience.
  • Be creative and drive roadmap initiatives, in parallel with improving design workflows.
  • Stay up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
  • Connect the visual and interactive dots across our suite of products via shared libraries, components, color, and typography.

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of Product Design experience designing, building, and shipping applications or software utilizing Figma.
  • Experience working closely with other product designers, developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience building components within Figma and design tokens, bonus points for Storybook experience.
  • A strong portfolio of product design work, including designs that showcase both an ability to think in scalable systems, and a solid understanding of key graphic design principles (hierarchy/layout, color, and typography).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to break down complex problems into easy-to-understand concepts.
  • Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be a problem-solver, be creative, an innovator, and be passionate about e-commerce.
  • Please include samples of relevant design work you have helped to build and maintain.

Interview Process:

After you submit your application, our team will review your CV and your amazing portfolio. If your work is everything we are looking for, you will be invited to a 30-minute phone interview where a team member will dive a little deeper into your experience but also give you a little more info on what it’s like to work with us. If you pass this phone interview, you will proceed to the next set of interviews, which will include:

  • Meeting with the Hiring Manager
  • Panel interview with some team members
  • Small project
  • Short final interview with the CEO and COO

Benefits:
