Chief of Staff


Rising Team is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO in managing leadership processes, supporting important work with customers, developing thought leadership content, and ensuring operational efficiency across the organization. This pivotal role works with every function in the organization and reports directly to the CEO.

What You'll Do:
  • Strategic Partnership with CEO: Collaborate closely with the CEO to align leadership processes, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure organizational goals are met. Help prepare board materials and manage the board meeting preparation. Stay up-to-date on topics and keep the CEO informed of trends and developments in the field.
  • Sales Support - Assist the CEO with sales and customer relationships by joining calls, drafting follow ups, and ensuring customers are informed and reaching their goals.
  • Leadership Processes: Lead the orchestration of executive meetings, including preparation, agendas, and follow-ups. Facilitate the execution of twice a year goal planning and OKR development with the leadership team.
  • Developing Thought Leadership: Assist the CEO with crafting press bylines and other communication materials. Serve as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders. Prepare CEO for public appearances such as keynotes, podcasts, media interviews.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee dashboards and operational elements to ensure seamless execution of key initiatives. Identify opportunities for process improvement. Own and improve operating cadence of the organization by codifying ways of working together.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teams across Sales, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and other functions to drive strategic alignment and execution.
  • Project Leadership: Manage special projects as assigned by the CEO, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. These may range across a variety of functional areas and may shift based on organizational needs.
  • Team Development: Help foster a culture of deep connection, results-orientation, and growth.

  • Strategic Thinking: A strong ability to understand the CEO's vision and translate it into actionable strategies and initiatives.
  • Leadership Acumen: Proven experience influencing and persuading others to achieve a desired outcome, with a track record of successfully driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling messages for press and internal communications.
  • Operational Execution: Proficiency in managing dashboards, operational workflows, and process optimization. Ability to execute project plans in a structured manner, including clear timelines, owners, and deliverables.
  • Adaptability: Comfort and effectiveness in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with the ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Structured Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify challenges, develop creative solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled at building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Initiative and Ownership: A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership over projects and responsibilities.
  • Confidentiality: High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
