About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and scale the internal systems and tools that drive Clutch’s operations.

In this role, you’ll build and maintain solutions such as CLIs, APIs, dashboards, and applications that make life easier for our Professional Services teams—including Implementation Engineers, Solutions Consultants, Engagement Managers, Support Engineers, and Technical Account Managers—as they implement, configure, and troubleshoot product features.

You’ll also collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clarity through strong communication and documentation. Ultimately, your work will make our technology more intuitive, easier to configure, and more impactful—accelerating how quickly and effectively we deliver value to customers.

About the Team

We’re building a brand-new team focused on internal tooling—laying the foundation for the platforms, dashboards, integrations, and infrastructure that empower Clutch’s Professional Services teams.

Our mission is to remove friction, improve efficiency, and create tools that make implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting simpler and more effective.

As one of the early members, you’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to identify pain points, design impactful solutions, and shape the systems that will scale with the company’s growth.

What You’ll Do

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Get up to speed on our stack, systems, and culture.

  • Develop a strong understanding of current workflows and challenges.

  • Ship your first feature or improvement to production.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Take ownership of a feature or internal tool, contributing to its design, build, and deployment.

  • Deliver solutions that streamline workflows for multiple teams.

  • Help define standards for monitoring, logging, and documentation in the tools you work on.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.

Within 9 months, you will:

  • Contribute to and, as you grow, help drive the roadmap for a set of internal tools, balancing short-term improvements with long-term scalability.

  • Partner with teammates to ensure reliable systems and, at more advanced levels, guide others in best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies or frameworks that improve developer velocity.

  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the company as a go-to partner for internal tooling needs.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience.

  • Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or applications that improve efficiency.

  • Solid understanding of APIs, services, databases, and system integrations.

  • Proficiency in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go, with the ability to read, debug, and write secure code.

  • Familiarity with developer productivity tooling, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset — from identifying problems to delivering solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.

  • A passion for developer experience, operational efficiency, and building tools that empower others.

Please note that this role may evolve as our business needs change, so we appreciate your flexibility and adaptability.
